Rocking Tirana’s beautiful mountain Dajti
Tobi from Switzerland is a professional Mountain Bike Guide in Albania, Tirana. He moved to Tirana to face the challenge as an entrepreneur starting up his business from scratch. He is doing a great job developing Ride Albania Mountain Biking with fantastic service and good spirit. The company offers MTB tours in beautiful Albanian nature for groups and private.
I was impressed of Tobi for making sure I had the best mountainbike possible for the ride on the mountain. After trying different sizes we found one that was perfect for me. I was very happy for the great service so I bought a breakfast for him for the best start possible. It was a rocky and challenging start to conquer Tirana’s mountain Dajti. Me and the bike was fighting hard while rolling over the rocky path. I loved the lunch in the shade on the outside restaurant on the mountain side. The scenery through the vineyards of “Lunder” back to Tirana was lovely. We were sweating like pigs and drinking like camels. looks very cool! I like the bridge and the village, especially the turtle!
Hey 🙂
It looks great! I traveled two years ago by bike through Albania from the north to the south along the coast and in a part back in the hinterland, it was very beautiful!
Can you tell me the name or place of this special village? Perhaps I can visit it by one of my next tours…
Thanks and a good time!
Hi Florian! Great that you have biked through the beautiful landscape of Albania. I enjoyed myself biking in Tirana´s mountain side together with the excellent guide Tobi. We were biking around the mountain and on our way down to Tirana we saw the city. It’s an old quarry where they were carving out rocks. With paint on the rocks it looks very much like houses with windows and doors. It’s like an enormous painting. 🙂 //Peter
