Handicraft – Create your own rice lamp

Our first stop was at a handicraft work shop creating rice lamps. It was very enjoyable using fabrics and glue making the lamp with as great skills as possible. The result was better then expected and happy that we could bring the rice lamp with us back home.

Ancient House – Heritage

The bouyant owner of the house welcomed the group enthusiasticly with open arms. We parked our bikes in front of the private old house built over 250 years ago with pure Vietnamese architecture artists in Kim Bong carpentry village, Holan Old Town. 8 generations have been living here. The house has four rooms with different design and typical beautiful symbols that reflect in the definition of carving sophisticated pattern. To my surprise the group of ten entered the bed room were the 94 years old grand mother were sleeping. Further on we were showed the equipent used building the house. Later, we got served green tea and bisquits and the owner was proud of the guest book with visitors from all over the world. And this is the place were the family lives happily.
