Did a free walking tour in the beautiful city of Budapest to get experience it’s history and culture. This is a great way to get to know a city and to meet people.
St Stephen’s Basilica is the highest building with it’s 96 meters equal to the parlament building. According to regulations there cannot be any higher buildings. But I don’t give a damn because I am going to build a sky scrape here;)
The Hungarian alphabet consists of 44 letters and belongs to the Uralic language family together with the Finnish and Estonian. I don’t understand a word!
In the evening the excellent Suite hostel were I live organised a pub crawl to what is called “ruin pubs” in the jewish area with a whole bunch of people. But hey, I was home at 1 and woke up at 5 thrilled to start a new day, just laying in bed waiting for the first coffee shop to open. So excited to get the day started so I can’t sleep, I guess I can go on until lunch time and then I die of exhaustion!
This afternoon I might visit one of the famous outside spas. It’s the city of spa’s with it’s 120 natural sources. Or I just have a relaxing siesta!
While travelling it’s fantastic to meet people. Peter and Gergo from Hungary showed great hospitality taking us through the city’s historical and cultural sites. Sen from Australia was enjoying the company and food.

The most impressive food market in Budapest is the Great Market Hall. Perfect place to stroll around to escape the hot sun.

Dan and Lizz from USA are my room mates at the Suite Hostel! We had a great evening together drinking beer and eating burgers. The green bridge in Budapest is a great place to hang out with friends.
